The Chi Omega/Make-A-Wish® Alliance
Since 1895, Chi Omega Fraternity members have given their time and talent to provide service to others. In the late 1990s, Chi Omega as a national organization researched opportunities for establishing a national philanthropy partnership, and in 2002, they announced the Chi Omega/Make-A-Wish alliance.
Since the start of this alliance, Chi Omega has raised more than 20 million dollars and has volunteered over one million hours for Make-A-Wish. Through this commitment, Make-A-Wish recognizes Chi Omega as one of their Cause Champion sponsors.
A wish granted not only provides hope, strength, and joy to a child and their family, but it can provide a wish child with the ability and willingness to comply with difficult medical treatments, and the hope gained by that wish often improves a child's physical health.
Color Me Chi O
In 2013, our chapter started "Color Me Chi O," a 5k color fun run, walk, and roll, to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. The tradition has continued, and we are proud to have hosted our sixth annual run on November 17th, 2018, where we raised $9,863! With 100% of these proceeds going towards Make-A-Wish, we couldn't be happier!
